My people believed that a person's spirit could be trapped in a mirror after departing their bodies. So when someone passed away all the mirrors were covered for 1 month. I have no idea where this came from. There was a lot of things that I remember feeling strange about. I couldn't fit certain teachings to align. When my grandfather died, they had him in a casket in a tiny living room in a tiny cabin. Even as a child, I hated the feeling. It was the first dead body I had seen. Also my grandfather or PawPaw only wore khaki shirts and pants, but he was dressed in, I think a suit. I mean that this was very scary.
So stunning on many levels. Are the idea of the Shadowy Queen and the Mirror-spirit connected I wonder? 🤔really resonate with this and it moved me a lot.
These retelling prose/ poems you are writing about are soo enchanting. I'm still not over the Little Mermaid piece but the Snow White poem and El Dorado poem were such an amazing read Stefan!
i LOVED the first poem, and enjoyed imagining it from the prince’s perspective (who is also a “child” as you mention), pining and yearning for the girl behind the glass casket. the second poem is very strong too! loved the idea of a mirror-spirit.
Thank you so much @Eugenia P. Frankenberg 🥀. I also prefer the first one, but I really wanted to tell something from the queen’s perspective because one poem felt too short and the queen is so interesting to me.
You never cease to amaze me!
Happy I could amaze you! Thank you. I need some sleep ugh.
😂😂😂 We chat with Miles in a couple hours!
I also enjoyed the art that went into these.

Awe thanks Lea. I really like Anna Bell Lee, so this was a joy to write.

Thanks. I think the idea of a mirror spirit is so cool. I was surprised when I couldnt find any mirror-spirits in mythology.

I plan to do more as ideas come to me. thank you so much for the kind words. I hope to keep from disappointing you.
This is so badass, Stefan. OMG, I don't even know what to say. I love it so freaking much!!! "Of the girl who is legally dead." 🤘
Thanks Alicia. I giggled when I wrote the legally dead part, I dont know why but it was funny to me 😂
Because it’s funny as hell!
Solid theory 😂😂😂

I really enjoyed both of these, Stefan.
Really well imagined and I loved how they read.
Awe thank you Gary. This was harder than the prior two Disney remixes, but I love how they turned out.
my favourite fairytale has always been snow white, so I really loved the first poem Stefan!
Aw thank you. Snow White is one of my favorites to, and the source material is really inspiring.
